That’s right, Activision’s new iteration Call of Duty: Ghosts will be seen by gamers on PC and both current gen and the next gen consoles. Big stuff for the franchise and will be real interesting to see how the games compare against each other once those comparison videos hit YouTube.
With Infinity Ward heading up this game, most people expected more of the same [Modern Warfare 4] but Mark Rubin, the executive producer, said in a statement. “We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we’re building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players.” Thank Christ!
While i know Cod is by far the Gold Standard for Competitive Esports play and that each game tries to better each other, i still feel that the game is too afraid to do some real changes that might affect its fan base [ if it ain't broke don't fix it ] Here is hoping they take a true Gen leap!!!
Other big news to hit the airwaves is that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be at Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Next Gen console reveal event on 21st May, which is no surprise really to anyone but will be interesting to see if this continues the trend of first releases on Xbox and for it to be considered by the majority of the gaming community as the main platform for the game to be played on.
Guess that begs the question, ‘ What platform are you playing the game on’?
